Dorothy Davenport (March 13, 1895 – October 12, 1977) was an American actress, screenwriter, film director and producer. Heir to the long theatrical tradition of the Davenport family, she began working in the fledgling film industry and was a Hollywood star at age 17. After the death of her husband, actor Wallace Reid, she co-produced Human Wreckage (1923), a film that dealt with the dangers of narcotics addiction. Billed as "Mrs. Wallace Reid", she followed its success with other social-conscience films. As her on-screen roles diminished, she transitioned to directing, producing and screenwriting.
