Darren Foster is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning director and producer. Darren's first feature documentary, Science Fair, won the Sundance Festival Favorite Award, the SXSW Audience Award, a Critics Choice Award and an Emmy. Darren is co-founder of Muck *****, a production company based in Los Angeles and Lisbon. He is the co-creator and Executive Producer of "Trafficked with Mariana van Zeller," an immersive documentary series about global black markets and trafficking networks that premiered on National Geographic in December 2020. He is also an Executive Producer on the recent Muck ***** production "Mucho Mucho Amor," a feature documentary about the beloved Puerto Rican astrologer Walter Mercado, which was released by Netflix in 2020. In 2017, Darren was awarded a duPont Award for "Death by Fentanyl," an in-depth look at how a powerful painkiller is turning the worst drug epidemic in U.S. history even deadlier. It was a continuation of Darren's groundbreaking reporting on the opioid crisis that began with "The OxyContin Express," which won a Peabody Award, a Television Academy Honor and an Emmy nomination. Born and raised in New York, he now lives in Los Angeles.
